How to Create an Invoice

  1. Click on TimeSmart

  1. Click on Invoicing

  1. Click on Create Invoice

  1. Select a client


  1. Set an Invoice Date

  1. Set a Due Date

  1. Add a Discount if applicable

  1. Select a Task

  1. Set a Unit, e.g. hrs

  1. Set a Quantity

  1. Set a Price

  1. Set a Discount if applicable

  1. Select a VAT Type

  1. Click on the Plus sign to add an additional line item

  1. Line items can be grouped together and added to the invoice as a single item by ticking the box "Use This One Liner" under the "Invoice detail combined to single line" section

  1. If "Use This One Liner" is ticked, select a Task for the grouped items

  1. Click on Save Changes

Once the Invoice has been created it will move to your invoice list.
  1. Click on TimeSmart

  1. Click on Invoicing


  1. Click on Invoice List


  1. Click on Invoice List Create

  1. To edit an invoice, click on the pencil icon in the bottom right-hand corner

  1. To select the invoice, tick the box next to "Add this invoice to Select All:" in the bottom right-hand corner

  1. The following actions are available:
  • Create Only: Creates the invoice in Sage or Xero without sending it to clients
  • Send All Selected Invoices: Creates the invoice in Sage or Xero and sends it to clients
  • Remove All Selected: Removes all the selected invoice from your invoice list and moves them to the Invoice History List
  • Pre-send list: View selected invoices
  • Select All: Selects all invoices
  • Export to CSV: Exports to a CSV file
