# How to Create an Invoice

1. Click on TimeSmart

2. Click on Invoicing

3. Click on Create Invoice

4. Select a client

5. Set an Invoice Date

6. Set a Due Date

7. Add a Discount if applicable

8. Select a Task

9. Set a Unit, e.g. hrs

10. Set a Quantity

11. Set a Price

12. Set a Discount if applicable

13. Select a VAT Type

14. Click on the Plus sign to add an additional line item

15. Line items can be grouped together and added to the invoice as a single item by ticking the box "Use This One Liner" under the "Invoice detail combined to single line" section

16. If "Use This One Liner" is ticked, select a Task for the grouped items

17. Click on Save Changes

|| Once the Invoice has been created it will move to your invoice list.
18. Click on TimeSmart

19. Click on Invoicing

20. Click on Invoice List

21. Click on Invoice List Create

22. To edit an invoice, click on the pencil icon in the bottom right-hand corner

23. To select the invoice, tick the box next to "Add this invoice to Select All:" in the bottom right-hand corner

24. The following actions are available:
* Create Only: Creates the invoice in Sage or Xero without sending it to clients
* Send All Selected Invoices: Creates the invoice in Sage or Xero and sends it to clients
* Remove All Selected: Removes all the selected invoice from your invoice list and moves them to the Invoice History List
* Pre-send list: View selected invoices
* Select All: Selects all invoices
* Export to CSV: Exports to a CSV file
